AI policy: how Scope of Cover uses AI

What AI does here
AI models help us extract figures from source documents and draft explanations of them. A different AI model checks each draft against the sources and scores it for clarity and specificity.
What AI does not do
AI does not supply facts from memory. A draft may use only figures that are tied to a quotation in a fetched source. We do not publish AI-generated reviews, testimonials, quotations or people.
Human accountability
Eric Dawson, the editor, is accountable for the site. Pages that name businesses, report rule or statute changes, or are flagged by the checks are approved by the editor before publication. Other pages are audited by sampling.
